Full details on everything AltosUI supports, including hardware compatibility.

Compatibility

  • At telemetry parity with the latest AltosDroid (currently in beta on Google Play) — the same flight data, the same math, the same display values
  • Supports the latest AltOS firmware and hardware, including TeleMega v7 with 30V voltage dividers
  • Supported flight computers: TeleMega (v1–v7), TeleMetrum (v1–v4), TeleMini (v2–v3), TeleGPS (v1–v4)
  • Supported companion hardware: EasyMega (v1–v2), EasyTimer (v1–v2), EasyMotor v1
  • Ground station: TeleBT v4.0 via Bluetooth LE

Core Telemetry

  • Wireless connection to TeleBT v4 ground station hardware via Bluetooth LE
  • Full received telemetry logged to files on the device
  • Select the ground station frequency matching your airframe
  • Bearing, elevation, and distance given relative to your position, not the launch pad

Flight Analysis

  • Flight Report — on-device post-flight summary with performance, phase timeline, motor, aero, apogee, stability, recovery, GPS drift, signal quality, advisories, and altitude chart. Long-press a tracker or open any .telem from the Files app. Export as paginated PDF. Experimental

Recovery Tools

  • AR Recovery HUD — augmented reality camera overlay with compass ribbon, direction arrow, and targeting reticle Experimental
  • Recovery Map — walking map with route line, heading tracking, and relative-direction badge Experimental
  • GPS Uncertainty Circle — shows the actual GPS accuracy area around your rocket's position, sized by satellite geometry Technical Reference
  • Text-to-speech guidance to the rocket during recovery and flight state during ascent

Maps

  • Maps view of airframe location using online or offline maps
  • Offline map downloads with configurable radius, zoom levels, and map types — download before you head to the field
  • Walking-recovery tiles for foot-navigation detail
  • Launch site overlays for hundreds of rocketry clubs worldwide

Flight Files

  • Telemetry files exposed to the Files app and iTunes Document Sharing
  • Custom thumbnails and Quick Look previews for .telem files — browse your flight library without opening the app
  • Open any .telem from iCloud Drive or AirDrop directly into a Flight Report — no import needed
  • Flight replay player for recorded .telem files

Multi-Tracker

  • Track multiple rockets simultaneously from a single ground station
  • Sort trackers by age, callsign, frequency, or serial number
  • Tracker data persists across app restarts
